Getting ready for your session and healing it afterward — here's what to know.

Before Your Appointment

2–3 Weeks Before Your Appointment
Hydrate
  • Internally — Drink plenty of water daily to support healthy skin.
  • Externally — Apply lotion 2–3 times per day to keep skin soft & nourished.
Exfoliate
  • (as needed) Use a gentle pumice stone / sugar / salt scrub once a week. Do not over-exfoliate. Keep it light and simple.
Shaving
  • Do NOT shave within 3 days of your appointment to avoid irritation.
Day of Your Appointment
  • EAT before you arrive (this is very important).
  • Bring snacks and water to stay comfortable during your session.
  • Aim for a good night's sleep, 8 hours if possible, so you're well rested for your appointment.

After Your Appointment

    Second Skin — leave it on 4–5 days

    Your tattoo is wrapped in Second Skin, an adhesive bandage. Leave it on for 4–5 days, and don't count the day you got tattooed as day one.Leave the Second Skin bandage on for 4–5 days. Don't count the day you got tattooed as day one.

    Taking it off

    Once it's off

    Gently rinse the tattoo with water using clean hands. We recommend skipping soap entirely; if you do use it, choose a natural unscented soap, as others dry the skin out.     Moisturizing routine

    Apply organic cold-pressed coconut oil or Hustle Butter Balm 2–3 times per day for two weeks. This matters most right after a shower.     Until fully healed
